City of New Orleans to Launch Limited Time Ticket Amnesty Program June 1
NEW ORLEANS - The City of New Orleans today announced that it will launch a limited time ticket amnesty program on June 1, giving motorists with eligible parking and traffic camera tickets the opportunity to resolve past due balances without incurring late fees.
The program, which runs through August 31, is open to anyone with:
● A parking ticket more than 30 days old, or
● A traffic camera ticket more than 60 days old (as of June 1)
Participants can pay in full or enroll in a flexible, interest free payment plan. This offer is available to anyone with eligible tickets, whether they live in, work in, or have visited New Orleans.

This is the third time the City of New Orleans has offered the Amnesty Program, providing residents an opportunity to 'clean the slate' and resolve past due tickets. As residents feel the impacts of rising costs, the Amnesty Program is another way that the Administration can meet people where they are and support them in moving forward. Eligible residents are urged to take advantage of this limited time offer.
The City is partnering with Promise, a trusted technology provider that manages the secure, user friendly PromisePay system. After the program launches, some eligible motorists may also receive a legitimate text message from PromisePay inviting them to participate. These messages are part of the City’s official outreach. You may opt out at any time.
The City previously hosted similar programs in 2019 and 2022, saving residents millions in waived fees and helping thousands catch up without added penalties.
