NORD Commission, City of New Orleans, and Xavier University Students Partner to Launch Annual Christmas Toy Drive
As the holiday season approaches, the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission, the City of New Orleans, and Xavier University’s Mobilization at Xavier (M.A.X.) organization are thrilled to announce the start of their Annual Christmas Toy Drive, dedicated to bringing holiday joy to children and families across New Orleans.
From Monday, Nov. 1, through Friday, Dec. 6, community members are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys that will brighten the holidays for families in need. Donation boxes will be conveniently located at all NORD Recreation Centers, the Lafitte Greenway, NORD Tennis Centers, NORD pools, the City Hall lobby, and the University Center lobby on Xavier University’s campus.
“We believe that every child deserves to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season,” said Larry Barabino, Jr., CEO of NORD Commission. “Through this toy drive, we’re not just delivering gifts – we’re delivering hope, happiness, and a sense of community to families across New Orleans. We’re grateful to partner with the City of New Orleans and M.A.X. to make a meaningful impact, and we invite everyone to help us make this season unforgettable.”
The official toy distribution date will be announced in the coming weeks. NORD and its partners are dedicated to making this year’s toy drive a resounding success, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the wonder and joy of the holiday season.
