City of New Orleans Provides Update on Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection for Thanksgiving Holiday

The City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation today provides a schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday for residents and businesses at eligible properties serviced by the City for solid waste and recyclable materials collection.

Outside of the French Quarter and Downtown Development District, there will be no curbside trash or recycling collection at eligible properties serviced by the City on Thursday, Nov. 28.

Trash and recycling collection will run a day behind schedule for the remainder of the week

  • Trash and recycling collection for Thursday locations will occur on Friday
  • Trash and recycling collection for Friday locations will occur on Saturday

Daily curbside trash collection will not be affected at eligible properties serviced by the City of New Orleans within the French Quarter and Downtown Development District during the Thanksgiving holiday
