TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure on Lincoln Beach Boulevard between Congress Drive and Press Drive

The City of New Orleans announce that beginning on Monday, Nov. 25, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC will close Lincoln Beach Boulevard between Congress Drive and Press Drive to perform milling operations.  

Drivers are advised to use Press Drive, Prentiss Avenue, and Congress Drive as alternate routes around the closure. Safety remains the City’s top priority. Signage and traffic control measures will be used to guide drivers and pedestrians safely through the area.

This work is part of DPW774: Dowman Road and Lincoln Beach Boulevard Improvements managed by Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC. The project scope varies by block and includes street resurfacing, re-striping, sidewalk repairs, and replacing/repairing damaged underground water, sewer and/or drainage lines on Downman Road, Lincoln Beach Boulevard, and Providence Place. All work is expected to be completed by Feb. 2025, weather permitting. 

In general, crews are working Mon. through Fri. from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with weekend work as necessary. Please note that construction schedules are weather dependent, and any significant weather delays may adjust the completion timeline.
