Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Engagement to Host Neighborhood Cares Day in Algiers
This Saturday, Oct. 5 the event will take place in Algiers at 3201 Vespasian Blvd. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. At the event, community members can receive flu vaccinations, enjoy free food, snowballs, a game truck, music, a clothing giveaway, and free groceries while engaging with city departments and local organizations at the resource fair. In addition, volunteers will engage in litter and debris collection in the area.
The Mayor's Office of Neighborhood engagement welcomes participation with District C Councilmember Freddie King, HANO, Thrive New Orleans, We Dat's Chicken and Shrimp, Pee Wee's Crabcakes, Starbucks, Walgreens, Olive Branch Cafe, B Spot Nola, Chick-fil-A, and Giving Hope NOLA.
