October 29, 2024 | From City of New Orleans
The City of New Orleans announced that effective immediately, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC will implement alternating lane closures on Downman Road between Chef Menteur Highway and Hayne Boulevard.
These lane closures will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are expected to continue through December 2024, weather permitting. Each evening, the contractor will reopen the street to vehicular traffic.
The closures are necessary to complete milling, overlay, and sidewalk repairs as part of the DPW 774 Downman Road and Lincoln Beach Boulevard Improvement Project. Signage and traffic control measures will be in place to help drivers and pedestrians.
For questions about this advisory, please call 504.658.8000 or email dpw@nola.gov
