NOMTRCB also hosts an annual in-person three-day Mosquito Academy. This course provides hands-on workshops and lectures led by industry experts that cover topics related to Integrated Mosquito Management (IMM). The third day of the academy is a hands-on Identification course, covering mosquito species commonly found in the Gulf South region. Our mosquito identification course is targeted at beginner and intermediate skill levels. Participants will be provided with mosquito sample boxes and a microscope during the course. Our academy is hosted in-person at our office, located at 2100 Leon C. Simon Drive, New Orleans, LA 70122.

The New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Board offers a range of public workshops and seminars. Led by our experienced staff and industry experts, these sessions cover topics such as mosquito behaviors and biology, mosquito-borne diseases, surveillance techniques, and more.
