Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO)

What We Do

The Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) is the City of New Orleans government’s permanent commitment to public participation in government decision-making and a mechanism to create opportunities for dialogue, information sharing, partnership, and action with neighborhood residents, leaders, and organizations.

NEO promotes neighborhood participation and information-sharing between City government and the public in order to foster greater neighborhood partnership and communication with City departments and agencies to promote positive outcomes and ultimately to improve a neighborhood’s quality of life.
