On Friday, August 5th, 2022, the Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) hosted a Back To School Fair in Gentilly at the Milne Rec Center!
At the event, NEO gave away over 500 school bags, all filled with schools supplies, 1000 Aquarium/Zoo tickets, 500 mini golf passes, and 500 books by Author Jared The Dreamer.
Overall over 700 residents were in attendance! Several residents received COVID-19 tests and students received haircuts on site. Park Place Premier Barber School also provided over 75 vouchers for students to receive haircuts at their convenience!
Over a dozen community organizations and City departments tabled at the community resource fair, providing students and parents information and services beneficial for the upcoming school year.
