The $4.4M Filmore South Group A project was designed by Volkert, Inc. and is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. The project is currently more than fifty percent complete and construction continues to progress ahead of schedule.
Command Construction, LLC., crews are close to completing the water and sewer line replacements throughout the Little Woods Group A project. As this phase of work moves toward completion, the contractor is ensuring that all open areas are filled and secured prior to beginning patch, mill, overlay and incidental road repair operations in February.
The Gentilly Resilience District (GRD) is a combination of resilience programs and projects in the targeted area of Gentilly, designed to reduce flood risk, slow land subsidence, improve energy reliability and spur neighborhood revitalization.
As the Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network is nearly 50 percent complete and scheduled to be finished in fall 2020, Fleming Construction crews move into the Pontchartrain Park area on Dreux Avenue and Congress Street. Soon, crews will install drainage pipes in between alleyways from Press Drive through the entire subdivision to Congress Street. The alleyways will connect the entire stormwater project to create a network of “gray-green” infrastructure items that will help alleviate flooding in the historic neighborhood.
Construction on the $12.7M Pines Village Group A project began January 21, 2020. The project was designed by All South Consulting Engineers, Inc. and is being constructed by Wallace C. Drennan Inc. Crews are currently performing waterline work on Majestic Oaks Drive which will be completed in the next two months. Crews are also performing sewer repairs and sewer line work on Dorothea Street and Francis Drive. Roadway work is currently progressing on Dreux Avenue, Shalimar Drive, Virgilian Street and Harbor Circle.
The Pines-Village Group B project is set to break ground in March 2020. This project was designed by Kyle Associates and will be constructed by Hard Rock Construction LLC.
Last month, Palmisano construction crews completed installing drainage lines in the northbound lanes of Canal Boulevard and have begun preparations for installation of the new water lines.
Construction on the second project in the Village De L’Est area is approximately forty percent complete. The City’s contractor, Beverly Construction Company, LLC, continues to work on sidewalks and driveways on Endeavors Court and Expedition Drive.
Crews are currently cleaning drain lines on Sherwood Drive. Construction will begin late February.
