March 3, 2020 | From RoadWork
The $3.6M FEMA-funded project is the second in the Read Boulevard East area. The project was designed by Evans-Graves Engineers Inc. and contracted to Beverly Construction Inc. Construction began on late January 2020. Crews are currently performing water line work on the 4700 block of Good Drive. The block will be completed in one to two months. Simultaneously, crews are also working on the roadway on Nottingham Drive. Weather permitting, the work on Nottingham Drive should be completed in mid-March.
The Read Boulevard West A project is now completed and closed. This was the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood. The scope work varies by block.
Wallace C. Drennan crews continue work on the Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group B project. Crews are currently installing water lines on Reynes Street (N. Derbigny Street to Tonti Street). Residents will continue to be notified ahead of any work that will impact their access and utilities.
Infinity Construction crews have installed new drainage elements in the 1100 block of Montegut Street as part of the $1.5M St. Claude Drainage Improvements Project. The project was funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program.
The St. Claude Group A project was designed by Rahman and Associates, Inc. and is being built by Hard Rock Construction Company, LLC. There is an estimated $1M in added scope on the $3.8M project, which is scheduled to be complete by the end of April 2020.
The West Bank Group A project is currently wrapping-up with walkthroughs estimated to be completed in March.
The Treme-Lafitte Group A project is set to break ground in March 2020. This $6.3M project was designed by Meyer Engineers Inc. and will be constructed by Command Construction.
The Westbank Group B project is set to break ground in March 2020.
The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Boulevard between Poydras and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557M Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.
