On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 7:33 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to reports of a fire at a residence at 727 Burgundy St. in the French Quarter. The first NOFD company arrived at 7:44 a.m. and noticed light smoke coming from the rear of the building.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, at 9:36 p.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 1300 block of S. Genois St. The first NOFD units arrived at the scene at 9:41 p.m., finding a single-story, shotgun double, at 1332-34 S. Genois St., with fire heavily involving the rear of the dwelling.
