Downtown Discount - Hospitality Worker Parking

The Mayor's Office of Nighttime Economy has partnered with PMSI, LAZ Parking, Premium Parking and Metropolis to provide the people who bring New Orleans' world-famous culture to life - our local hospitality workers - with discounted monthly & daily parking rates across downtown New Orleans! 

Downtown Discount is open to employees of qualified hospitality businesses in downtown New Orleans. Eligibility of workers at designated hospitality businesses has been expanded (10/23/25). See Qualifications & Terms of Service​ below. 

Access to discounted day-rates at any participating location will be available to any qualified hospitality worker. Monthly memberships will be limited and distributed on a first come, first served basis.

  1. Review locations of participating parking lots and garages in the map or table below, including each facility's discounted rates, available hours and current availability of monthly memberships.
     
  2. When you know which parking facility and discount works for you, click Apply for Downtown Discount. Applicants must submit current employment information, including workplace address, type of business, position and name of supervisor.
     
  3. Employment verification takes up to ten (10) business days. Once verified you will be notified via email with approval to participate in Downtown Discount. At that time your selected parking provider will notify you of additional steps to activate your account.

Qualifications & Terms of Service

  • Qualified applicants must be currently employed at a business matching the following two criteria:
    • Type of business is any of the following: restaurant, cafe, casino, coffee shop, bar, museum, hotel, hostel, bed & breakfast, destination management, massage service, spa, live entertainment venue, tattoo shop, licensed tour guide or outdoor vendor
    • Workplace address is located within: the French Quarter, Central Business District, Marigny or Treme
       
  • An individual can qualify for more than one discounted membership if they can be verified as currently employed at multiple qualified hospitality businesses in the downtown area. Only one discounted membership is allowed for each verified workplace per individual.
     
  • Once an applicant's employment status has been verified, any discounted passes or memberships provided through the Downtown Discount program are distributed via contracts between the applicant and the participating parking company. Continued access to the applicant's chosen parking facility and discount will be subject to the terms agreed to by the applicant and the participating parking company.
     
  • The City of New Orleans retains the right to revoke participation in Downtown Discount if any worker or business is found to have falsified employment status, caused damage to parking facilities, or for any other reason at its discretion.
