Jamie Hayes and NOFD Mardi Gras Poster

New Orleans Fire Department is proud to have partnered with world renowned artist Jamie Hayes, to create the official 2013 New Orleans Fire Department Mardi Gras Poster - a fund raiser with 50% of the proceeds going to the New Orleans Fire Fighters Foundation.  This is a pen and ink/color pencil drawing that took Jamie over 5 months to complete. Please join us as we show off our new poster:

                        Date:   Wednesday, January 30, 2013

                        Time:   10 am

Place: 317 Decatur Street – Fire Headquarters

The New Orleans Firefighters Foundation has raised money to do such things as purchasing uniforms and thermal imagers for New Orleans firemen.  However, the Foundation wants to provide thermal imagers for every fire truck used by the department.  Each thermal imager costs approximately $10,000 and sales from this poster as well as our 6th Annual Firefighters Calendar will help raise necessary funds.  A thermal imager translates infrared radiation into a viewable image providing a heat picture at fire scenes, providing “sight” to firefighters inside burning buildings.
