NOFD FF Corey Smith Killed in Motorcycle Accident

We regret to inform you that in the early evening of Sunday, February 22, 2015 New Orleans Fire Department Firefighter Corey Smith, a four year firefighter assigned to Engine 39 on the 1st platoon, was killed in a motorcycle accident in Plaquemines Parish.  FF Smith’s motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in this fatal accident as he traveled southbound on LA-39 near the intersection of Gibbons Rd. We ask that you keep FF Smith and his family in your prayers.
