On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 10:43 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched to a reported residential fire in the 2600 block of Allen St. Arriving on the scene at 10:51 a.m., the first arriving NOFD unit struck a second alarm immediately. A duplex at 2613-15 Allen St. was heavily involved in flames at the time of NOFD arrival and had already extended to exposed properties to left (2617-19 Allen St.) and right (2609-11 Allen St.).
