New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) Operator Dwayne J. Jackson passed away in a tragic accident on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Funeral services for Operator Jackson, are set for Friday, March 28, 2025, at Gentilly Baptist Church, 5141 Franklin Ave., New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., with services following at 10:00 a.m. sharp. A motorcade procession and “Final Salute” honoring Operator Jackson will be conducted at the quarters of Station 8, 3300 Florida Blvd., NOLA 70117. The motorcade will continue to Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., NOLA 70122, for interment. We ask that you please continue to keep the Operator Jackson and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
