April 28, 2025 | From New Orleans Fire Department
GiveNOLA Day returns on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. This fundraiser is by the Greater New Orleans Foundation (www.gnof.org) and is a one-day online giving event. For 24 hours, everyone can support their favorite local causes by donating to one or more of the participating nonprofit organizations. Friends of the New Orleans Fire Department is one of hundreds of nonprofits for GiveNOLA Day. We encourage everyone to share with their family and friends to donate to Friends of the NOFD as it’s the primary source of funding for all community outreach programs conducted by the department. Friends of the NOFD has also been used to supplement the needs of firefighters through the purchase of safety equipment. This year’s goal is $2,000. Before GiveNOLA Day, there is an Early Giving Period scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, through Monday, May 5, 2025. Everyone can share with their loved ones to donate during that giving period. The link leading to the page for Friends of the NOFD is www.givenola.org/organization/friendsofnofd. The minimum donation is $10. To donate to additional fundraisers/nonprofit organizations, you can head to www.givenola.org.
