On Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 9:06 p.m. the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched to 105 Vallette Street in Algiers. Upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with a working fire in a two-story wood framed dwelling. The first NOFD company arrived on the scene at 9:11 p.m. The home suffered significant damage on both first and second floors in the rear of the building.
