The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening (February 15, 2026) in the 13500 block of Granville Street, in the Seventh District.
The New Orleans Police Department’s Eighth District is investigating an increase in pickpocketing incidents that began on February 13, 2026, in the French Quarter. As a result of this investigation, detectives have recovered 71 cell phones, numerous identification cards, and credit cards believed to have been stolen during these incidents. Five suspects have been arrested in connection with these crimes.
