Join Forces with NOPD: Become a Volunteer Ambassador

Building Stronger Communities Together

Superintendent Anne E. Kirkpatrick has launched an innovative partnership between the New Orleans Police Department and community members. The Volunteer Ambassador Program creates meaningful connections between police officers and residents, working side by side to enhance safety and understanding in our neighborhoods.

What Makes This Program Special

Drawing from successful models across the country, our program goes beyond traditional volunteer roles. As an Ambassador, you'll help shape how police services meet community needs, foster dialogue between residents and officers, and contribute to creating safer, more connected neighborhoods.

Your Role as an Ambassador

When you join our program, you become an essential bridge between NOPD and your community. Ambassadors help identify neighborhood concerns, share important safety information, and participate in community events. This collaborative approach ensures police services truly reflect what New Orleans neighborhoods need and want.

Make a Difference

Whether you're passionate about youth engagement, senior safety, or general community wellbeing, there's a place for you in our Ambassador program. Your local knowledge and commitment to our city make you an invaluable partner in community policing.
