The Department of Parks & Parkways has launched an ambitious tree planting program to enhance the City's green infrastructure! Through federal funding, Parkways will plant 8,596 trees across New Orleans between Spring 2025 and Spring 2029. This initiative aims to increase the urban canopy, improve air quality, and create more resilient neighborhoods.
