The New Orleans Health Department is partnering with Top Box Foods to offer 6 free deliveries of fresh, healthy foods directly to new and expecting mothers. Boxes contain whole produce such as fruits, vegetables, legumes (like red beans), and a single ready-to-eat meal for when you're in a hurry. Deliveries go out every two weeks.
Top Box Foods makes the process simple. Once you have been referred by Family Connects or Healthy Start, you will schedule a day and time to receive your grocery deliveries. Top Box Foods works with every participant to ensure they successfully receive their delivery.
If you are eligible and would like to receive free grocery deliveries, you may be referred by a Family Connects home visiting nurse, Healthy Start case manager, or a WIC team member. For information on how to sign up for these programs, call or click below.
