The New Orleans Health Department aims to support sexual and reproductive health care by connecting residents to resources, education and health care services including STI testing. Our work focuses on advancing policies and programs in collaboration with community partners to promote the health and wellness of all in New Orleans.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) Misoprostol and Mifepristone Access
The New Orleans Health Department is now offering free sex education facilitator training to middle and high school staff in Orleans Parish. Trainees will be provided lesson plans and resources to deliver four evidence-based sexual health modules that align with Louisiana state standards and help satisfy grade-level expectations for health.

The mission of NOARHP is to ensure that all Orleans Parish public school students have access to age-appropriate, evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive sexual health education, leading to safer and more responsible sexual health decisions.
NOARHP places LSU Health, Tulane School of Medicine, and UQ-Ochsner Clinical School Student volunteers in New Orleans-area elementary, middle, and high schools to teach free, comprehensive sexual health lessons adherent to Louisiana state law.
