The Department of Property Management has created this dashboard to provide the public with information about the condition of properties owned and managed by the department. The dashboard aims to increase transparency by offering, when possible, photographs of the properties and details about any plans for re-purposing, sale, or demolition.
Currently, the dashboard only includes properties managed by the Department of Property Management and does not address properties managed by other City Departments such as NORD, NOPL, NOBC, or The French Market Corp. These additional properties will be added at a later stage.
Users can sort properties based on Council Districts A, B, C, D, and E, as well as by the condition of the properties, which are categorized as Blighted, Demolish, Good, Poor, or TBD (To Be Determined). It is important to note that a large majority of buildings may be classified as TBD because physical inspections are required to assess their condition accurately. This assessment exercise will continue when the City procures a new Asset Management system in early 2024.
Please keep in mind that the dashboard is a work in progress, as many assessments have not yet been performed. The Department of Property Management is committed to updating the dashboard regularly as more information becomes available, ensuring that the public has access to the most current and accurate data on the City's property assets.
