Zika Virus

Transmitted through mosquito bites and unprotected sex. Watch for fever, rash, joint pain, and red eyes within two weeks of travel. Pregnant women need special precautions as Zika can cause birth defects.

Protect Yourself:

  • Wear long sleeves and pants

  • Remove standing water around your home
  • Be extra cautious at dawn and dusk
