N. Galvez St. Reconstruction Project nears completion

The $6.7M N. Galvez St. Reconstruction Project between Elysian Fields Ave. and Almonaster Blvd. in the St. Roch neighborhood is nearly complete.  

 

The scope of work for the N. Galvez St. project includes:

  • Installing new subsurface sewer, water and drainage lines;
  • Removing and replacing sidewalks and driveways aprons;
  • Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections;
  • Adjusting manholes;
  • Repaving the roadway in concrete; and
  • Striping the roadway with a designated bike lane.

 

The N. Galvez St. reconstruction project was designed by CB&I. The construction contractor is Durr Heavy Construction, LLC.
