The $5.1M Black Pearl Group B project is set to begin construction in December 2020. This project was designed by Jacobs Engineering Group and will be constructed by Infinity Construction. Click here to view a map of the project scope.
The $11.9M Black Pearl/East Carrollton Group A project, which began construction in August 2020, continues to make significant progress. Contractor Hard Rock Construction Co., LLC has completed planned sewer repairs on Adams, Birch, Burdette, Fern, Hickory, Huso, Jeanette, Pearl, Plum, Short, and Zimpel streets. That work will continue in the coming month, as well as the beginning of excavation and concrete work.
TKTMJ crews have resumed work on the Breakwater Drive improvement project. Crews are currently preparing for roadway work, parking lot and pier modifications and relocating the cul-de-sac. With the newly added scope, completion is expected in spring 2021.
Beverly Construction, LLC., crews shifted work back to 14th, 20th and 30th in October but will keep small crews on Regent Street on the West End Group A project. Crews plan to wrap all major work on these blocks at the end of the year. Work is still happening on Regent Street, where additional scope was added in early-November. Waterline and paving efforts on these streets will continue with consideration of the approaching holiday season.
Crews tied in a new water line along Canal Boulevard in November, and repavement work throughout the project is progressing. Crews also began removing roadway and installing a new base on Navarre Avenue and at North Park Place and Middle Park Place, and started curb and gutter installation on Charles Place and Middle Park Place. ADA ramps, sidewalks and driveway aprons are being installed on West Park Place, and crews began installing the asphalt binder layer of roadway on Middle Park Place and South Park Place.
Sewer line work continued in November as six crews from Wallace C. Drennan Inc. facilitated sewer repairs in the Hollygrove, Leonidas Group A project area. Additional work crews focused on putting in the binder and wearing layers of asphalt, which are two of the final steps in roadway restoration.
Command Construction crews are working to complete key resilience features with the addition of semipermeable sidewalks, parking areas and rain gardens in the Hagan Lafitte Drainage Project.
The $6.5 M Lakeview North Group C will begin in November with exploratory excavation and closed circuit television (CCTV) scoping of drain lines. The project will be constructed by Palmisano Construction and residents will be notified ahead of any work that will involve utility disruption and/or impact their parking and access to their streets.
Fleming Constuction Co., LLC, crews completed sidewalk, pavement, and ADA curb work at the 600-700 blocks of North Alexander. Crews are continuing pavement, sidewalk, and curbing operations on North St. Patrick and North Olympia Streets on the City Park Group A project. Additionally, drain and sewer point repair operations are scheduled this month at the 600-800 blocks of North Olympia. Crews are looking to complete these sequences of the work toward the end of November ahead of the December holidays. Concrete work on St. Peters Street is to follow. Residents will continue to be informed ahead of any construction work and work that will involve utility disruption and/or impact their parking and access to their street.
Wallace C. Drennan, Inc., crews began street excavation and the installation of new water lines this month on the Marleyville-Fontainebleau Group C project. Crews are currently working on State Street between Walmsley and Fontainebleau. We will continue to inform residents ahead of any work that will involve utility disruption and/or impact their parking and access to their street.
