The City of New Orleans today announced that effective immediately, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC will temporarily close the intersection of Julia Street and S. Peters Street to accommodate emergency underground utility repairs. The intersection closure is expected to remain in effect through the end of the week. Signage and traffic control measures, such as barrels and fencing, will be on-site to direct drivers and pedestrians.

The City of New Orleans today announced that the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC began closing sections of Julia Street between Convention Center Boulevard and Loyola Avenue for street repairs on today, June 10. This work is part of the Julia Street Improvement Project. Crews are currently working on Julia Street between Convention Center Boulevard and Tchoupitoulas Street.

The City of New Orleans today announced that beginning Thursday, June 6, weather permitting, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. will begin roadway restoration that will temporarily close the southbound lane of Congress Drive between Stephen Girard Avenue and Chef Menteur Highway. This closure is being held to accommodate construction on the Gentilly Woods Group F construction project. Changes to traffic patterns and lane closures will begin at 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 6 and will remain in effect for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Public safety is top priority; signage and traffic control measures, such as barrels and fencing, will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

The City of New Orleans today announced that beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, weather permitting, the Department of Public Works (DPW) construction contractor Command Construction Industries, LLC will close the 1400 block of Mandeville Street from North Robertson Avenue to North Villere Street in order to perform a drain line tie-in (see map). All travel lanes will reopen by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.

The City of New Orleans today announced that starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC will begin additional roadway improvements on Poydras Street. This includes implementing an additional lane closure between Loyola Avenue and Convention Center Boulevard to undertake street repairs. Public safety is top priority; signage and traffic control measures, such as barrels and fencing, will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

The City of New Orleans today announced that starting Wednesday, May 22 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Department of Public Works (DPW), in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LaDOTD), will close the eastbound right lane along the stretch of Interstate 10 between the 17th Street Canal and the Interstate-10 westbound on-ramp for interstate lighting repairs.
