The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) construction contractor, Fleming Construction Company, LLC, has temporarily closed the intersection of Clio Street at Baronne Street to through traffic, effective immediately. The closure is scheduled to last through Thursday, Aug. 24.

On Sunday, July 31 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the intersection of Baronne and Gravier streets will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic while members of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) conduct an intersection safety workshop. A police detail and roadway signage will be placed at the intersection.
The City of New Orleans today announced that school zone cameras will be turned on for the new school year on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 7 a.m. School zone hours are between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

The City of New Orleans and the Department of Public Works, will soon begin lane restriping as part of the Wright Road (Chef Menteur Blvd—Dwyer Rd) Full Reconstruction project. The lane restriping for this project is being implemented as part of the City of New Orleans’ Complete Streets program, which will include a vehicular lane reduction and parking lane shift on Wright Rd between Chef Menteur Blvd and Dwyer Rd to provide bike lanes in both directions of travel.

On Thursday, July 14, weather permitting, City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Impetus (formerly Palmisano LLC) will close the intersection of Warren Drive and Dreux Avenue (Prentiss Avenue) to vehicular traffic for approximately three weeks to accommodate construction on the Read Boulevard East Group E construction project.

On June 23, 2022 the City of New Orleans contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC closed two lanes in the riverbound direction of N. Carrolton Avenue to accommodate the installation of a water line as a part of the Mid-City Group B reconstruction project.

Beginning today, June 14, weather permitting, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will close the 7200 to 7500 blocks of Leake Avenue to vehicular traffic for approximately two weeks to conduct a waterline repair.
