The City of New Orleans today announced the acquisition of Cartegraph by OpenGov, a cloud-based asset management system that will serve as a centralized platform for managing City assets across multiple departments, including Public Works (DPW), Property Management, Parks and Parkways, Sanitation, and the New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission.

The City of New Orleans announced beginning Monday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m., South Claiborne Avenue between Octavia Street and CalhounStreet will be reduced to two lanes of vehicular traffic to facilitate a series of roadway restoration tasks. This work will restore the cross section onto State Street Drive. Pedestrian travel near the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and State Street Drive will be limited during this time.
Effective immediately, the City of New Orleans is announcing that the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractors Hard Rock Construction, LLC. is performing a lane closure on the 700 block of South Broad Street through Nov. 29 to accommodate the utility work as part of the Iberville, Tulane-Gravier, LGD, CBD Group A project. Enroute lake bound traffic will be rerouted to South Galvez Street.
On Monday, Nov. 19, The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works’ (DPW) construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will temporarily close Marigny Street and reduce the lane on Gentilly Boulevard to restore the asphalt roadway and roadway restoration. The intersection closure is expected to remain in effect for one week and will reopen on Nov. 27.

Effective immediately, The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) construction contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC. will temporarily close the intersection of St. Roch Avenue and Mirabeau Avenue to accommodate underground drainage repairs. The intersection closure is expected to remain in effect for two weeks.

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) will activate school zone flashing Beacons at several additional locations starting Monday, Nov. 4. This phased activation is part of the City’s efforts to ensure compliance with State law and enhance safety for students and drivers.
The City of New Orleans has announced a moratorium on construction and utility work within the Central Business District and the French Quarter, effective Dec. 1, through Mar. 5, 2025 after Mardi Gras. This moratorium specifically affects construction impacting the public right-of-way and utility infrastructure, as outlined in the attached map. Interior renovations and other work not impeding the right-of-way are exempt.

As a result, the lakebound traffic closure between Canal Street and Iberville Street will now remain in effect until Nov. 11.
