The City of New Orleans today announced that beginning Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Beverly Construction Inc., will temporarily close the lakebound travel lanes in the 5200 block of Paris Avenue to accommodate drainage work as part of the Gardena Drive (St. Bernard Avenue – Paris Avenue) construction project.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Barriere Construction Co., LLC, will temporarily close Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard between Jackson Avenue and St. Andrew Street for approximately eight weeks. Crews will work Monday through Friday, in addition to some weekend work to accommodate holidays and adverse weather conditions. This closure is required for the installation and connection of subsurface drainage, water and sewer lines at the intersection of Josephine Street and Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard as part of Central City Group A project. Public safety is our priority; signage will be in place to direct traffic.

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor Beverly Construction Inc. will temporarily close riverbound travel lanes in the 5200 block of Paris Avenue between Monday, Oct.17 at 7 a.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. During this time, riverbound traffic will shift to one of the lakebound travel lanes on Paris Avenue. This will allow for a single lane of vehicular traffic in each direction. The closure is necessary to accommodate drainage work as part of the Gardena Drive (St. Bernard Avenue – Paris Avenue) construction project.

Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Command Construction Industries, LLC, will implement a temporary full closure of southbound travel lanes in the 6300 block of Elysian Fields Avenue between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The City of New Orleans today announced Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Wallace C. Drennan, Inc., has postponed the temporarily closure of South Carrollton Avenue between Fig Street and Earhart Boulevard until further notice.
Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at 7 a.m., the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will temporarily close the roadway of the 7000 to 7100 blocks of Magazine Street to vehicular traffic to accommodate construction on the Magazine Street (Leake Avenue to East Drive) project. The closure will remain in effect until Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, weather permitting. Public safety is our top priority; signage and traffic control measures will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

September 22, 2022 | From City of New Orleans
Beginning on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at 7 a.m. the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor, Infinity Construction and Trucking, LLC, will temporarily close the westbound travel lane of St. Charles Avenue between Burdette Street and Fern Street for approximately four weeks to accommodate waterline installation work.
