As of April 29, The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor, RNGD Construction, LLC, will temporarily close the 5100 block of Cameron Boulevard to begin mill and overlay work in effort to finish roadway restoration in your area. This closure is expected to remain in effect for one week and will reopen approximately on May 6, 2025. Detoured traffic will be rerouted up Selma Street to St. Anthony Avenue.
As of April 29, The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor, RNGD Construction, LLC, will temporarily reduce one lane in the 2000 and 2100 blocks of Timoleon Street to begin mill and overlay work in effort to finish roadway restoration in your area. This closure is expected to remain in effect for ten days and will reopen approximately on May 9, 2025. Detoured traffic will be rerouted to St. Anthony Ave. to Elysian Fields Ave.
As of April 29, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works, in coordination with its contractor, RNGD Construction, LLC, will temporarily close the intersection of St. Anthony Avenue and Allen Toussaint Drive to begin mill and overlay work in an effort to complete roadway restoration in your area. This closure is expected to remain in effect for one week and is scheduled to reopen on or around May 6, 2025. Detoured traffic will be rerouted via Leon C. Simon Drive to Elysian Fields Avenue.
April 28, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
Beginning Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the City of New Orleans is announcing the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractors Hard Rock Construction, LLC. is performing a road closure on the 700 block of South Broad Street through Friday, May 23, 2025, to accommodate utility work as part of the Iberville, Tulane-Gravier, LGD, CBD Group A project. Traffic wishing to continue lakebound travel will be rerouted to South Galvez Street.
April 17, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
Beginning Monday, April 21, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works contractor, RNGD Construction LLC, will temporarily close the 5700–6000 blocks of Cameron Boulevard to begin mill and overlay work as part of ongoing roadway restoration in the area. The closure is expected to remain in effect for two days, with the road reopening on or around April 22.
Beginning Monday, April 21, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor RNGD Construction, LLC, will temporarily close the intersection at St. Anthony Avenue and Allen Toussaint Drive to begin mill and overlay work. This closure is expected to remain in effect for one week and will reopen approximately on April 30. Detoured traffic will be rerouted up Leon C. Simon Drive to Elysian Fields Avenue.
April 15, 2025 | From City of New Orleans
Beginning Monday, April 14, the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Barriere Construction Co., LLC will implement temporary lane closures on St. Charles Avenue and Carondelet Street in the Central Business District to remove asphalt surrounding the streetcar tracks and replace it with concrete. Construction activities will generally occur between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The City of New Orleans announced that effective immediately, the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is implementing temporary street closures in the French Quarter as part of its public safety plan for the French Quarter Festival. City crews will begin reopening the streets at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 14.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell today was joined by the City’s Unified Public Safety Command Team to announce public safety measures ahead of French Quarter Fest, which is expected to bring a large number of visitors to New Orleans. Residents are encouraged to prepare for heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic and to celebrate safely throughout the weekend.

The City of New Orleans today announced that beginning Monday, April 7, the Department of Public Works (DPW) contractor, Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, will implement temporary lane closures on Gentilly Boulevard at Republic Street to facilitate roadwork.
