The City of New Orleans today announced the second phase of street closures in advance of Super Bowl LIX. Effective Monday, Jan. 13 at 6 a.m. to Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6 a.m., the streets listed on the attached map will be closed as the City prepares to host the Super Bowl. Additional road closures will be phased in and announced as they are implemented.

The City of New Orleans today announced the first phase of street closures in advance of Super Bowl LIX. Effective Monday, Jan. 6 at 6 a.m. to Monday. Jan. 13 at 6 a.m., streets adjacent to the Caesars Superdome, listed on the attached map, will be closed as the City prepares to host the Super Bowl. Adjustments will be made to accommodate New Orleans Pelicans fans accessing the Smoothie King Center.

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) today informed residents and visitors of a current closure on Bourbon Street near the St. Peter Street intersection on the Esplanade side. The intersection remains open to traffic. This closure is part of the DPW760 Bourbon Street Bollard Assessment & Replacement Project.

Today, Mayor LaToya Cantrell and the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) was joined by Deputy CAO for Infrastructure Joe Threat, Councilmember Eugene Green of District D, and President of the DeSaix Neighborhood Association Hannah Ligon, along with community leaders to celebrate the completion of the DeSaix Boulevard/Bayou St. John Bridge Improvement Project.
The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) announces the temporary closure of Burgundy Street between Iberville Street and Canal Street on Thursday, Dec. 26, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, traffic on Canal Street will not be able to turn right onto Burgundy Street. This closure is necessary to complete a waterline tie-in as part of the DPW704 Collapse Site Rehabilitation Project.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, beginning at 7 a.m., the Department of Parks & Parkways will close the Interstate 10 on ramps of Tulane Avenue (I-10 East) and Orleans Avenue (I-10 West) to complete vegetation and tree pruning. Vehicular traffic will be detoured from the Tulane Avenue entrance further eastbound on North Claiborne Avenue to access the next on ramp at Dumaine Street. The detour on Orleans Avenue will direct traffic further west bound on South Claiborne Avenue to access the next on ramp past Gravier Street. This work will address trimming of intentionally planted trees and palms at these locations and removal of invasive vegetation to improve visibility for drivers

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works (DPW) is pleased to announce the reopening of the DeSaix Boulevard Bridge and the completion of associated improvements along the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Moss Street. The bridge, which crosses Bayou St. John, has reopened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, providing improved connectivity for the area. Pedestrian access to the Wisner Bridge has also been restored.
