A group of local pastors, community members and potential S&WB recruits recently had a tour of the Carrollton Water Purification Plant and Drainage Pumping Station 5, led by General Superintendent Joe Becker and arranged by Executive Director Cedric S. Grant.

The City is planning to use funds approved by voters during the 2016 bond sale to re-pave several high traffic roadways in New Orleans East.
Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC is currently driving 75-ft concrete piles into the bed of the North Lagoon at Joe W. Brown Memorial Park. The piles will support installation of the future bridge.
The long-awaited Michoud Blvd. reconstruction project is now underway. Crews mobilized to the site in early June and are currently installing a new bus cut through on the Dwyer Rd. neutral ground.
Dieudonne Enterprises, LLC construction crews are now 35 percent complete with the Youth Study Center Streets construction project in the Pilotland neighborhood. The project is on schedule to be completed in the fall of 2017.
The City of New Orleans’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC recently began installing sidewalks along the 800 - 1300 blocks of Decatur St. as part of the French Quarter Sidewalk Improvement Program, Phase 2.
The City’s construction contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC is nearly 10 percent complete with the French Quarter Infrastructure Improvement Project. Construction crews have completed the majority of the drainage work in the 100 block of Bourbon St. and are installing new water lines in conjunction with Entergy’s Gas and Electrical units.
Roubion Roads and Streets, LLC has resumed construction of the Safe Routes to School project near the International School of Louisiana. The project was delayed after construction crews excavated an unmarked drainage canal on Camp St.
Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently installing new reinforced concrete drainage pipes on the S. Galvez St. reconstruction project in Central City. The $5.4M reconstruction project is approximately 10 percent complete. The project runs from Toledano St. to Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Safety fencing and signage is in place to ensure residents and commuters are safe while near the construction site.
The Patch, Mill and Overlay (repaving) project on St. Charles Avenue entered into its second phase of work in May. Crews are currently working from Third St. to Felicity St. Despite weather delays, Boh Brothers anticipates completing this phase by the end of summer.
