TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Right Lane Closure on I-10 Westbound Between Morrison Road and Chef Menteur Highway Scheduled for Thursday, July 16
New Orleans – The City of New Orleans advises motorists that the right lane of Interstate 10 westbound between the Morrison Road on-ramp and the Chef Menteur Highway (U.S. 90) off-ramp, including the Morrison Road westbound on-ramp, will be closed on Thursday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The temporary lane closure is necessary to allow DPW crews to perform streetlight maintenance along the interstate corridor.
Motorists traveling in the area should expect delays and are encouraged to use caution, reduce speed, and follow all posted traffic control devices. Drivers are encouraged to allow additional travel time or consider an alternate route, if possible.
Motorists should also be aware that a temporary traffic pattern remains in effect on the nearby Crowder Boulevard Bridge over the Morrison Canal. Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead, as the combined traffic impacts may result in additional congestion in the area.
The closure has been approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and is weather permitting.
