TRAFFIC ADVISORY UPDATE: Westbound Interstate 10 Lane Closure Rescheduled
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans advises motorists that the previously announced Interstate 10 Westbound lane closure scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, has been rescheduled.
The closure will now take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During that time, the right lane on Interstate 10 Westbound between Ransom Street and the base of the High-Rise Bridge will be closed. The closure will also include the westbound Interstate 10 entrance ramp from U.S. Highway 90 (Chef Menteur Highway).
The previously announced Interstate 10 Eastbound lane closure scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, remains unchanged.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the area, expect delays, and follow posted signage and traffic control measures.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely perform streetlight repairs as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve interstate lighting and public safety.
