TRAFFIC ADVISORY UPDATE: Westbound Interstate 10 Lane Closure Rescheduled

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans advises motorists that the previously announced Interstate 10 Westbound lane closure, which was postponed due to Tropical Storm Arthur, has been rescheduled.

The closure will now take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. During that time, the right lane on Interstate 10 Westbound between Ransom Street and the base of the High-Rise Bridge will be closed. The closure will also include Exit 240B to U.S. Highway 90 (Chef Menteur Highway) and the westbound Interstate 10 entrance ramp from U.S. Highway 90 (Chef Menteur Highway).

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area, expect delays, and follow posted signage and traffic control measures.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely perform streetlight repairs as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve interstate lighting and public safety.
