The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works is working in tandem with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) to improve pedestrian safety and expand accessibility for people traveling along and across Broad Street. Pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements are planned for a portion of Broad Street between Tulane Avenue and the Lafitte Greenway as part of a larger $5.7M roadway improvements project. The new pedestrian safety improvements are funded 100% through the federal Safe Routes to Public Places Program (SRTPPP).
