The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works (DPW) is currently performing infrastructure repairs as part of the DPW771 Right of Way (ROW) Improvements project. Construction began in June 2025 and is scheduled to continue through 2026, weather permitting.

The project includes roadway patching, milling and overlay work, sidewalk repairs, and curb work at various locations throughout the area.

Project Locations:

  • Alba Road: (Lucrino- Alba & Murano Rd – Alba Rd)

  • Bienville Avenue (intersections with Norman C. Francis Parkway)

  • Burke Avenue: (Hayne Boulevard – Morrison Road)

  • Canal Street: (1600–5000 blocks)

  • Carondelet Street: (Poydras Street to Julia Street)

  • Center Street: (33rd Street to Tacoma Street)

  • Cleveland Avenue: (4700 block)

  • Conti Street: (5100-5200 blocks)

  • Curran Boulevard: (Gannon Road – Anne Marie Court)

  • Dwyer Road: (Crowder Road to Downman Road)

  • Haydel Street: (Dwyer Road – Selma Street)

  • Harrison Avenue: (Canal Boulevard - Argonne Boulevard)

  • Harrison Avenue: (100-700 blocks)

  • Homedale Drive: (Canal Boulevard - West End Bouelvard)

  • Lucrino Road: (Murano Road – Alba Road)

  • Milne Boulevard: (5600 block)

  • North Galvez Street: (Almontaser Avenue to Clouet Street)

  • North Galvez Street: (Canal Street to Saint Louis Street)

  • North Bernadotte Street: (100 block)

  • Pines Boulevard: (Downman Road – Virgilian Street)

  • Rosedale Drive: (700 - 800 blocks)

  • Saint Charles Avenue: (Poydras Street to Julia Street & Nashville Avenue to Napoleon Avenue)

  • Saint Louis Street: (2600 block) 

  • South Olympia Street: (300 block)

  • South Saint Patrick Street (100 block)

  • Virginia Street: (300 - 400 blocks)

  • Walker Street: (Marshal Foch - Orleans Avenue)

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works will manage the project during construction. Typical work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work will occur as needed.

Safety remains our top priority. During construction, traffic control measures—including cones, temporary signage, and “No Parking/Tow Away Zone” signs—are in place to guide drivers and pedestrians safely around active work areas. Local access for residents, deliveries, and emergency services is being maintained at all times during work hours.

Please Note: Construction schedules, dates, and durations are subject to change due to inclement weather, equipment issues, unforeseen field conditions, existing utility conflicts, or crew availability.
