The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works has completed infrastructure repairs as part of the DPW772 Right of Way (ROW) Improvements project. Construction began in November 2024 and was completed in April 2025.The project includes roadway patching, street resurfacing, re-striping, sidewalks, ADA-compliant ramp installation and driveway repairs at various locations.
Project Locations
The Department of Public Works managed the project, which followed a mixed schedule to accommodate both daytime and nighttime construction. Work hours included daytime operations from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday through Friday) and nighttime operations from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM (Sunday through Friday), with weekend work as needed.
Throughout construction, traffic control measures, "No Parking/Tow Away Zone" signs, barrels, and fencing were implemented to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and local residents. Local access for residents, deliveries, and emergency services was maintained at all times.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during construction. These improvements will enhance street conditions, pedestrian access, and overall safety for years to come.
QUESTIONS: If you have questions about the project, please contact the Department of Public Works at 504-658-8000.
