DPW773 2024 Right of Way (ROW) Phase 2 Improvements

The Department of Public Works has contracted a construction contractor to perform infrastructure repairs as part of the DPW773 Right of Way (ROW) Phase 2 Improvements. Construction began in February 2025 and is scheduled to continue through Q1 2025, weather permitting. The project includes roadway patching, milling and resurfacing work, sidewalk repairs and curb work at various locations.

Project Locations:

• Magazine St. (Nashville Ave. - East Dr.)

• Iberville St. (N. Peters St. – Royal St.)

• Exchange Pl. (Canal St. – Iberville St.)

• Kerlerec St. (Bourbon St. – Chartres St.)

• Kerlerec St. (N. Rampart St. – Dauphine St.)

• Chartres St. (Kerlerec St. – Frenchmen St.)

• Desaix Blvd. (St. Bernard Ave. – Winthrop Pl.)

• Alden Pl.

• Derby Pl. (Gentilly Blvd. – N. Salcedo St.)

• Saltus St. (Trafalgar St. – Castiglione St.)

• Columbus St. (Bayou Rd. – N. Broad St.)

The City of New Orleans Department of Public Works will manage the project during construction. The typical working hours are 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work will occur as needed. 

Safety is our top priority; during construction, traffic control will be implemented and "No Parking/Tow Away Zone" signs will be posted in active work areas. Local access for residents, deliveries and emergency services will be provided at all times during work hours.  Signage and traffic control measures such as barrels and fencing will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.

Please note: Construction schedules, dates, and durations are subject to change due to rain, equipment breakdown, unforeseen field conditions, existing utility conflicts, or crew availability.
