City of New Orleans Municipal Building Energy Use Dashboard
The Municipal Building Energy Use Dashboard was created pursuant to the 2022 “LEED Ordinance” (Ordinance No. 29082) which, among other things, requires the City to benchmark energy use in City-owned buildings and annually publish that benchmarking information online.
Building energy benchmarking is the practice of gathering a building's energy use information to understand building energy performance over time and compared to other similar buildings. The Municipal Building Energy Use Dashboard gives the public and the City a way to view benchmarking data for individual buildings and across the entire set of City-owned buildings, from Gallier Hall to our fire stations and every building in between.
The dashboard allows users to view a single property's energy use over time, to compare energy use metrics for multiple properties, and to see energy use metrics for properties in a spreadsheet format. Energy use metrics include Site Energy Use Intensity, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and Energy STAR Scores where applicable.
Click "About the Data" in the dashboard to learn more about the information presented.
