The Final List For The July 1 NSTR Lottery Is Ready For Distribution.

Attached to this email is the final list of properties that will participate in the Lottery that will take place on Monday, July 1 at 11am. The Lottery is open to the public & will be livestreamed through the New Orleans City Council YouTube Channel or this link.

The attached list displays the Square ID number, the application Reference Code and the corresponding bingo ball number for your application. You can find your reference code in the email you received following the successful submission of your NSTR application.

If you do not see your reference code on this list, your application may be the only application on the square, have a Bed & Breakfast on the square, (these two options are still under review) or it has been denied. You would have already received an email if your application was denied for the Lottery. All Denials Are Final.

A few reminders for the lottery:

  • You DO NOT have to be present to win.
  • The Lottery will be held in no particular order of district or square.
  • Following the completion of the lottery we will send out the official approval emails, after which you will have five (5) calendar days to pay for your license.
  • If you do not pay for your license, you will forfeit your license & it will go to the next person in line (who will also have five (5) calendar days to pay).
  • You will be issued your license (& will receive a placard to display in your window) after payment of both your NSTR ($500) & if applicable, OSTR ($150).
  • If you do not win the Lottery, a denial email will be sent out with an application to apply for the Special Exception process through the City Planning Commission.
  • Unsuccessful permittees may also reapply for the following Lottery if the block is reopened for any reason. (Dates for the next lottery application period will be released in the coming weeks.)
  • Please stay up to date with all STR Updates via our website/announcements page. There is also a FAQ page which may answer many questions asked during this process.
  • If you have any questions regarding the upcoming Lottery, please email str@nola.gov.
  • If you have any questions regarding the Special Exception process, please email cpcinfo@nola.gov

Thank you all for your patience & participation.
