Join experts from Trust for Public Land, the City of New Orleans, Water Collaborative, the Water Institute, and Tulane University. During this session, we will explore resources to help residents and community-based nonprofits plan, advocate for, and implement green infrastructure. Presenters from Trust for Public Land will demo the Climate Smart Cities New Orleans decision support tool and will share insights from a new report that documents the economic benefits of green infrastructure. Attendees will hear directly from the City of New Orleans, Tulane University, and the Water Institute on local resiliency and sustainability efforts.
About the decision support tool: This free resource was created to help governments and community groups advance parks, green infrastructure, and urban greening. We will provide a training session that will teach you how to apply the full capabilities of the tool for work on individual properties or at the neighborhood or city scale.
