The City of New Orleans – Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) has an exciting lineup of events planned to support and empower small businesses. On July 30 join us for the final webinar of our summer Contract Conversations series “Coding for Contracts”, a session on the importance of aligning your commodity codes with your business services.
Then on August 5 , start your morning with coffee and OSD at our “Rise to Resources” event. Join us at PJ’s Coffee on Read Blvd. for resources to scale your business. On August 7 , attend the highly anticipated “Procurement Fair & Industry Day” at Gallier Hall. City departments and other local agencies will be on-site to share upcoming contracting opportunities, while technical assistance providers and small business support agencies will offer resources to help you compete for contracts and grow your business. On August 13 , join the City of New Orleans – Office of Supplier Diversity for an “After-Hours Informational/Mixer” at PJ’s Coffee.
This event will be perfect for networking, learning about SLDBE certification, and exploring small business mentorship opportunities. On August 18 , be inspired by “Small Business Success Stories: How They Won and Delivered”, a panel discussion featuring four certified SLDBE business owners who have successfully navigated the City’s procurement process. On August 21 , we invite newly certified firms to join the City at Propeller for a “DBE Bootcamp.”
Finally, wrap up the month with our “Compliance Forms Training” on August 27 , where participants will gain insight into the City’s contract compliance form preparation and best practices for executing successful contracts. In September, we have a great lineup planned as well, featuring a combination of workshops, webinars, and networking events to equip small businesses with the tools necessary to do business with the City. We hope to see you at one or more of these events. Don’t miss out!
