January NewsLetter
NEW ORLEANS – The City of New Orleans Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) is celebrating a year of significant progress in 2025, marking a turning point in creating greater access to procurement opportunities for underserved and disadvantaged businesses.
Key accomplishments in 2025 included strengthening internal systems with new tracking tools and documented procedures, enhancing the SLDBE certification experience, and implementing post-award contract compliance training. OSD also hosted or participated in over 50 events, reaching more than 900 small businesses through workshops, certification assistance, and compliance trainings.
The office revised Contract Compliance Forms, updated its website with improved navigation and on-demand training videos, and refined the DBE Scorecard methodology for more accurate performance measurement. Additionally, OSD revised the City's professional services agreement to strengthen DBE compliance and clarify consequences for non-compliance.
Looking ahead to 2026, OSD will focus on modernizing the SLDBE certification process, institutionalizing stronger compliance measures, expanding outreach efforts, increasing capacity-building programs, and improving data transparency across the department.
