Youth Master Plan

The New Orleans Youth Master Plan is a comprehensive roadmap for creating and sustaining a positive youth development-focused, results-oriented New Orleans. The plan covers the next ten years (2020-2030) and it will include all the sectors of the community that have responsibility for improving the future of children and youth, birth to 24 years, across Orleans Parish. The plan establishes ambitious 2- and 10-year targets for improved outcomes across all aspects of young people’s lives, supported by a set of 30 interconnected solutions rooted in youth and community wisdom and best practices in Positive Youth Development.

The Youth Master Plan is facilitated by the New Orleans Children and Youth Planning Board (CYPB), the New Orleans Youth Alliance (NOYA), and the Mayor's Office of Youth and Families (OYF) with co-direction and co-authorship by New Orleans youth, including the Youth Advisory Board of CYPB, the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC), and NOYA Youth Leadership Fellows. The process is funded in part by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, and the City of New Orleans.
