Third-Party Service Provider

According to the Code of the City of New Orleans, CCNO 26.15, any company or individual wishing to act as a third-party inspection service provider in the City of New Orleans must first file a registration application with the Director of Safety and Permits on a form provided for that purpose.

Process

Please submit your application in person at The Department of Safety and Permit-Trade License Division, 1340 Poydras St., 8th Floor, New Orleans, LA 70112. Office Hours, Monday-Friday-8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Renewal Process

All Third-Party Service Providers are required to renew their license annually, 30-90 days before the license expires, by submitting a completed application via email tradelicenseinfo@nola.gov.

• Company licenses expire on the last day of each year.  Companies’ renewal period starts 90 days before the last day of each calendar year.
• Individual license holders’ license expires on the license holder’s day of birth. Individual license holders’ renewal period starts 90 days before the license holder’s birthday.

Required Documents

The following documents are required for all Third-Party Provider Registration Companies

• Third-Party Service Provider Application
• Proof of Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council Registration
• Occupational License or Registration from the City of New Orleans Department of Finance
• Proof of commercial general liability insurance of not less than $500,000, naming the City of New Orleans as an additional insurance party. For Insurance purposes, the City of New Orleans Safety & Permits address is 1340 Poydras St., Suite 800, New Orleans, LA 70112
• Attach a list including the name, legal address, telephone number, and email address for any person who has a legal, beneficial, financial, or competing interest as defined by law in the registration to be issued or renewed.
