• creating safer, healthier neighborhoods

• stimulating economic development

How does the City cut grass?

Through the Chapter 66 Grass Cutting program, the City aims to:

• Prioritize tipping point neighborhoods and lots near occupied properties, schools, and investments
• Recover costs by billing the property owners for the cuts
• Build public trust by quickly responding to resident’s requests

What can residents do to help?

There are a number of things residents can do to help clean up our neighborhoods:

• Keep your grass cut and your property in order
• Report a property with high grass by calling 311 or submitting a 311 request online
• Apply to mow to own a property next to yours that has been adjudicated by the City
• Host a neighborhood clean-up by contacting the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement
